Maintaining a clean environment is the paramount commitment at the Goyal Group of Industries. All our units fully comply with the guidelines of the State Pollution Control Board. Our by-products such as Hydrochloric Acid is captively used to produce Chloro Sulphonic Acid and Calcium Chloride. The spent Sulphuric Acid generated in the process is a raw material for the neighboring fertilizer industry to manufacture Single Super Phosphate. The Jhagadia and Gandhidham plants are rated ‘ Zero Discharge ‘ units. At the Nandesari facility, effluents are treated before being sent to the Common Effluent Treatment Plant developed by the industry association.
The Group is actively promoting Clean Development Mechanism projects. At Panoli Intermediates a Natural Gas Power plant is commissioned. A vapour absorption system is installed to recover the heat generated from the exhaust flue gas. The recovered energy meets the requirement of the Chilling plant.
At Kutch Chemicals Industries advanced technology is engaged to generate more steam than conventional norm, during the production of Sulphuric acid. This steam is used for Power Generation thereby reducing the carbon footprint.
The Multi Effect Evaporator System is installed in all our units to recover water from liquid effluent and recycle it back in the process.
Goyal Group has also made measures to its commitment towards clean energy by installing 5.5 MW of Windmills. It has also set up a 4 MW solar power plant in Bhadroli to maintain its pledge to be environmentally sustainable. The head office is also equipped with state of the art solar plant to maximize the use of green energy and in turn cooling the offices. By employing such techniques, the Goyal Group is also helping in job creation for the renewable energy sector thereby also promoting Make in India initiative.
All units have their own garden and plantations throughout the plant to ensure a cool and calming environment for the workforce.
There is a constant endeavor at the Goyal Group of Industries to promote clean and green energy to protect the environment for our future generations, as we are the people consuming its benefits. What Mahatma has said “The earth, the air, the land and the water are not am inheritance from our forefathers but on loan from our children”.
